Seattle Founders Festival 2012 Sponsorship Levels

About the Seattle Founders Day Festival

The festival is a history oriented street fair. The festival brings to life the founding of Seattle thru exhibition, interactivity, and special productions, such as the scripted actors playing the roles of the founding mothers and fathers themselves. Giving the public a chance to shake hands with David Denny, talk to Austin Bell about his favorite authors of the time, or practice your off color language with Madame Damnable, known for being able to swear in 60 languages.

History presentations, gallery exhibits and collection of ephemera from individuals, are combined with local craftspeople and artists plying there trade and building Seattle’s future in the same way the cities forefathers did, with the owner operated approach to sales. Add to all that a live performance stage filled all of the two days with presentations, Musical performances, and in the evening live burlesque and vaudevillian performing acts.

The Festivals birth place is Belltown, a neighborhood in Seattle in the early stages of being completely transformed, from crime ridden news headline, to new civic center. The festival is the first event to make full use of the new Bell Street Park Boulevard, and the new Belltown Community Center.

The festival is organized by a board of directors comprised of Belltown residents and business owners committed to the health and enjoyment of the historic neighborhood. By embracing Belltown’s history we are building it’s future.
